A More Efficient And Effective Approach

Our approach delivers ‘step change’ improvement in productivity and the related financial benefits during implementation. This typically requires between 18 and 25 calendar weeks.

The first step towards realizing real ‘step change’ is to develop indisputable evidence of the opportunity to improve Return on Invested Capital (ROIC). This occurs during our standalone analysis over the course of 4-6 calendar weeks. The analysis is independent of any implementation program. It allows our clients to assess the risks and benefits of our proposals, as well as our approach and the people who may be engaged in any subsequent implementation, before deciding to commence implementation.

The analysis provides a comprehensive view of the proposed implementation approach as well as strong definition for all operational and financial improvement goals arising from implementation. 

The required ‘reset’ of capacity with demand is a critical point within implementation. Our program is formally divided between preparing management to conduct the required reset, and supporting management during and after the reset for up to 10 calendar weeks or more.

We understand that the weaknesses in operating performance which we will demonstrate cannot be sustainably improved until enterprise capacity utilization is first improved. That’s the nature of the Performance Paradox. Either true demand must rise, or real capacity must fall, or some combination of both must occur before performance improvement is sustainable.

Implementation is simultaneously a process of designing and installing the elements of an effective management system.  This incorporates the required tools, skills, knowledge, behaviors and disciplines.  This dimension of the program is split between Definition, Development and Installation.

Finally, we understand the value of customized management education and training. Our program incorporates significant elements of both formal classroom education and on the job training.
